Famous Boxer Runs From Angry Woman. PHILADELPHIA, April 8. Jack Dempsey', the former world’s heavy'-weight boxing champion, to-day lost a ring battle and ignominiouslv retreated from the scene of the conflict Dempsey was referee of a wrestling bout and he disqualified Johnny Plummer for kicking. The wrestler’s wife, who weighs 6-ff 61b, leaped into the ring and tore Dempsey’s shirt off and removed a great deal of his hair Dempsey retreated through the ropes and hid in the crowd until the promoter had induced Mrs Plummer to listen to reason.
