In the first Anglo-French Rugby League international, England won by 31 points to 12. The English full-back, Sullivan, was the most outstanding player. He converted six tries and kicked a penalty goal. The Frenchmen began each half brilliantly, but were unable to cope with the English forwards. Risman, a minute before the end, scored a try. Gallia, Duhau and Cassagneau scored for France.
