FARES FOR UNEMPLOYED.
3d From Home to Job, and Back Again. The Christchurch Tramway Board has instituted a new system of fares for unemployed men. The fare will be 3d from the worker's home to the job and back again. At the meeting of the board this afternoon, the chairman (the Rev J. K. Archer) said that the tickets had been already issued and were being sold. A letter was received from the Unemployed Workers Association expressing appreciation of the board’s action.
