KAIAPOI SEAT.

Fresh Labour Party Ballot to be Held. Owing to the fact that two of the nominees, Messrs J. Mathison and M. Williams, tied in the ballot for selection of the Labour Party candidate for the Kaiapoi seat at the next general election, the North Canterbury Labour Representation Committee decided to take a further ballot to determine which of these candidates should have the honour of going to the poll. The National Executive of the Labour Party, however, has decided that further nominations must be called from affiliated bodies in the electorate, and that another ballot will be held on a date agreed upon. This decision means that other nominess apart from Messrs Mathison and Williams can now go to the ballot.
