Prankerd, said that Mr Greenland’s departure broke an association of fourteen years, except for three years when Mr Greenland was at Timaru and not far enough away to get out of touch with Christchurch affairs. It was with great regret that they learnt of his impending departure. He wished Mr and Mrs Greenland every success in Auckland. The presentation was made by both the Christchurch and Lyttelton staffs. Mr Prankerd assured Mr Thompson of the support of every member of the staff.
