Mr J. Packer, speaking to the Institute of Chemistry last evening, some indication of the part plaved b\ chemistry in human life Mr* M. ] Scott presided. Mr Packer traced the development of recent research in bio-chemistr\v He pointed out that biology was coming to depend more and more on knowledge gained by chemists. Progress in the study of bio-chemistrv followed closely progress in the study of chem istry. Dr Franklin thanked the speaker for giving members a comprehensive ad dress.
