VICTORIA LEAGUE.
A meeting of the committee of the Victoria League was held this week. Mrs W. S. Bean. 0.8. E., in the chair. Others present were: Mrs Deans (president), Lady Acland, Mesdames E. G. Hogg, J Anderson. C. Chilton, M.8.E.. G. Hanmer, F. Scott, R. H. Hannah, Misses Overton. M. Al’Owen, C. Gosset, AI. Skoglund (secretary) and Mr J. D. Fairhurst (honorary treasurer). Airs Deans reported that she and Mrs Bean and Aliss Skoglund had attended a meeting in the Jellicoe Hall about Poppy Day. when the Victoria League had been allotted Ballantyne's corner as usual. Arrangements were made for members of the committee to take charge of the stand at the various intervals.
