ST DAVID’S CHURCH.

Hornby Board of Managers Holds Meeting. The monthly meeting of the Board of Managers of St David’# Presbyterian Church. Hornby, was held on Monday evening. Mr R. Brown presided over a good attendance. Correspondence wai received from the P.W.M.U. asking permission for the distribution of collection boxes to members of the church for voluntary contribution. M- S. M’Millan welcomed the new minister, Mr Brown, to the meeting. It waa decided to hold a working bee on Saturday to clean the church grounds. Z>raids' Lodge. The fortnightly meeting of the Olive Branch Lodge of Druids was hold in the parish hall, Hornby, on Monday evening. A.D. Brother A. R. Johansen presided over a large attendance of members. The bards’ report on sick members was received, and the sum of £7 10s was passed as sick pay. Two new members were proposed. ‘ A welcome was accorded to the officers and members of the Queen of 'he Oak ( Ladies’ Lodge) by the Arch D.*uUi, also to D.P. Brother Lake. After the meeting a pleasant evening was spent in games, competitions and dancing. Competitions were won by the following: Sister Nichnlls and Brother Roberts: Sister Shelrlaw 1. Sister Donaldson 2; Brother Roberts 1, Brother Johansen 2. Sister F. Gill 3; musical arms. Sister Rinold and Brother M’llwralth. Supper was served bv the officers and members of the lodge.
