ADVERTISING CLUB.
The Canterbury Advertising Club had a large attendance of members last evening, when a debate, was staged by the junior members on the subject, •• That Most Modern Advertising Errs on the Side of Exaggeration and Untruth.” The speakers on
the affirmative side were Messrs Lake. Eremner and Williams, and on the negative Messrs Walker. Wilson and Dix. Mr C. L. Rollo, the president, was adjudicator. The subject was well handled by both sides, and the verdict wen JLr to f h « affirmative by 213 votes to 20;>, the winners securing the advantage by their more liberal presentation of practical evidence and better team work. Mr Walkec was adjudged to have made the best speech.
