Englishman in Central Asia. CALCUTTA, April 11. Dr Khalid Sheldrake, an Englishman who has been a Moslem since 1903, and recently visited Sinkiang, near the Russian border, has been invited with his wife to become King and Queen of Sinkiang, from where the Chinese have driven the Turki Government after its three months of existence. The Province has been renamed Islamestan. Dr Sheldrake, who at present is at Hyderabad, is more interested in securing converts to Islam. He is undecided whether to accept the offer of kingship
