Riccarton Club Races From Waipara. The Riccarton Pigeon Club conducted a race on Saturday last from Waipara. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster at 12.30 p.m., in fine weather. The winning bird, owned bv R. M’Lennan, flew the-thirty miles’ airline in forty-four minutes. Results:—R. M’Lennan’s Blue Belle. 1196yds per min: W. Fine’s My Pick, 1020; Belcher and Buckingham’s Blue Boy, 1014: K. Bennett’s Blue . Diamond. 990; S. Light’s Stayer, 954; M. Richard s Rolo. 946; j. M”Ginn’s Blue Ace, 942; J. Hart’s Fireworks, 938; A. Mercer’s Black Forest, 906; B. Densem’s Bete Noir, 804. R. M’Lennan won the nominated bird prize. East Christchurch Club. The East Christchurch Pigeon Flying Club flew the final race of the young bird programme from Blenheim last week-end. Good conditions prevailed throughout: the race resulted in fine times being recorded, and very little divided the prize-winners: The winning bird, owned by Mr W. Henry, flew the distance of 161 miles in 3hrs f»6min. Results:—W. Henry's Lady Evans, 1198yds per min; R. V. Bradley’s Wise Choice. 1197: B. Campbell’s Sweet Agnes. 1195: L. Brown’s Lord Baker. 1169: G. MaoDougall’s Battle Cry. 1165: H. F. Evans’s My Surprise, 1054; L. Rolton’s Charm. 999; T. Nicholson’s Plus Fours, 950. R. V. Bradley won the nominated bird prize. The club’s young bird aggregate troubles were won by Mr G. MacDougall. Mr B. Campbell wins the novices aggregate special and also the special for the best average in the two Blenheim races. . Premier Club. The Christchurch Premier Pigeon Club conducted a race from Parnassus or Saturday last. The birds were favoured with fine weather and good times were recorded.
