BRIGHTON PROPOSAL.
Restoration of Full Time Work, A proposal that the outside staff of the New Brighton Borough Council should be restored to full time employment was referred by the council last night to the Finance Committee for consideration. Councillor W. E. Wilkins gave notice of his intention to move that the resolution carried at the meeting of the council on August 17, 1931, requiring the outside permanent staff to stand down for one week in every eleven weeks be rescinded. He said that it was time for the council to restore the cut. If the council did this others would follow. The motion was referred to the finance committee for consideration.
