KICK INTO TOUCH
Will N.Z. Union Discuss Question? (Special to the “ Star.”) DUNEDIN, April 10. At a meeting of the Otago Rugby Union, Mr V. Cavanagh said he understood that Auckland intended bringing up at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Union the question of introducing again the amended kick-into-touch rule. He thought it would be in bad taste and an act of disloyalty to the English Union to ask for any such dispensation. Several members supported Mr
Cavanagh’s contention. Mr Harris pointed out that there was no notice to bring such an alteration before the annual meeting of the New Zealand Union. Any move byAuckland would therefore be cut of order.
