METHVEN SURPRISE PARTY.
A surprise party visited the residence of Mr C. 11. Ireland, Methven, on Thursday evening to honour Miss Doris Ireland, who is to be married shortly. The gathering took the form of a kitchen evening. Dancing was enjoyed and competitions were won by Miss Olive Watson and Mr Knox Cook, Misses Doris Ireland, Ivy Watson, Nora Owner and Mr E. J. Backler. During the evening song* were contributed bv Misses Grace Morgan and Bella and Kitty Beary. Among those present were: — Mr C H Ireland.
