HIGHWAY PAVING.
Progress of Work on Main North Road. The second coat of sealing on the section of the Main North Road, between the Ashley River and Leithfield, is at present being applied, and it is expected that it will be completed this week. The first coat was applied early in «he present season. For the bituminous sealing of the section between Leithfield and the Waipara River tenders are at present under consideration and a contract for the work will be let in the course of a few days. When this work is completed there will be a paved surface on the Main North Road for a distance of approximately 50 miles from the city.
