Mr Howard’s Critic.
Dear Sir,—Mr E. J. Howard is letting himself go on the production of drivel, such as we could have this; we could have that; why don't we do this; why don't we do that? What are we afraid of? What are we waiting for? and so on, with never a thought or a suggestion of how any of the things he talks about could be done. It gets us nowhere; it solves no problems; it can be indulged in almost indefinitely without any mental effort. It is hoped thata bit of criticism will make him try to do some serious thinking.—l am, etc., DEMOCRAT.
