"Man Against Woman” and “ Two-Fisted Law.”
Two thrilling action dramas, “ Man Against Woman,” starring the popular Jack Holt, and “ Two-Fisted Law,” in which Tim M’Coy has the leading role, comprise the splendid new double bill at the Liberty Theatre. In “ Man Against Woman,” a modern com-edy-drama, the virile Jack Holt ;s supported by Lilian Miles in the leading feminine role, and Walter Connolly and Gavin Gordon. First-class acting, bright dialogue and novel settings make this production the best Holt has yet made. It has a good plot and, in addition, includes many hilarious comedy sequences. The courageous fight of a young ranchman to get his own home, illegally stolen from him by a band of killers, and to protect the girl he loves, is featured in “ Two-Fisted Law,” Tim M’Coy’s latest Western drama for Columbia. Gun-play, swift riding, and. excellent characterisations by a grout) of outstanding players make this easily the best Tim M’Coy film of the vear. Owing to the fact that the Liberty will be closed for alterations after this evening’s screening, this programme will be transferred to St James’ Theatre on Monday. Box plans at the D.I.C.
