SUNDAY CONCERT.

The programme provided by Derry's Military Band and assisting artists in the Civic Theatre to-morrow evening should ensure a packed house. Added to the attraction of the items themselves there is the fact that the Mayor's Relief Fund will benefit by the receipts. Derry’s Military Band is playing well at present and the big selection from “ Chu Chin Chow ” should be well received. Among the other items by the band are two very popular numbers, “ Smithy in the Wood,” with blacksmith, anvil and lighted forge all on the stage, and “ Cavalry Charge," with the galloping of horses faithfully portrayed. The Christchurch City Harmonica Band will render items both novel and Interesting, while Mrs Leslie Scrimshaw will sing " The Slave Song ” and “In the Garden of Your Heart.” Master Trevor Hutton, the boy flautist, Mr R. C. Muschamp, saxophone, and Mr Frank Geoghegan, xylophonist, will also assist. Mr Norman Carson will play the accompaniments and conduct the Harmonica Band, while Lieutenant H. Gladstone Hill is the musical director and conductor. Admission will be by ticket, dress circle Is and stalls 6d. Seats may be reserved at the Civic Theatre to-day and to-night for dress circle at no extra charge.
