DANCE AT FENDALTON.

Miss Dorothy Redgrave Honoured. FAREWELLED BY FRIENDS. Miss Dorothy Redgrave, the Vicarage, Fen dal ton, who will leave for a trip to England next week with her parents, was the guest of honour at a dance arranged by her friends last evening. About 120 guests had been invitetd by the organisers, Misses Gitba Hand-Newton, Neroli M’Clatchie, Doreen Byrne, Huia Stables, and Dorothy Kernahan. St Barnabas schoolroom, Fendalton, where the party was held, had been attractively decorated for the occasion. A cheery fire gave the room a welcoming: air, and a lounge had been arranged for the older guests. Here vases of nasturtiums were used as decorations, while the platform was massed with hydrangeas and autumn leaves, with the gay red of geraniums and some lovely gaillardia blooms in relief.

The guest of honour, who was presented with a posy, was in a dainty frock of royal blue satin with a diamante buckle at the waist. Her coatee was of white panne velvet with cape sleeves. Mrs Redgrave wore a frock of nut brown angel-skin lace with a coatee to match.

Miss Hand-Newton wore a yellow organdie frock daintily sprigged in buttercup design, with a buttercup coloured sash; Miss Huia Stables, pastel blue taffetas with organdie sleeves and sash; Miss Neroli M’Clatchie, floral blue voile with a blue velvet sash; Miss Doreen Byrne, capri blue taffetas with green sash and bow; Miss Natalie Hampton, brown and wnite figured ninon with white organdie sleeves; Miss Dorothy Kernahan, coral pink crepe marocain with pleated sleeves. The Danielli orchestra supplied the music.
