HORNBY PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The annual meeting of the Hornby branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Orange Hall. Mrs J. Gunderson presiding. Members present were: Mesdames J. Gunderson (president), C. Woodham. J. G. Marsden, Islip, G. Goss, F. Hunter, Roberts. Thomas, Puller, Robson, Anderson, Manson, Cox, H. Rowe and J. Smalley. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs J. Gunderson* secretary and treasurer, Mrs C. Woodham; vice-presidents, Mr s J. Smalley apd Mrs Manson; committee, Mesdames J- G. Marsden, J. Smalley, W. Robson, Thomas, Hornby, G. Goss, T. Hunter, H. Rowe, A. Head, Cox and Manson. An interesting address was given by Mrs C. Woods (Christchurch) on child welfare. A competition held during the afternoon was won by Mrs T. Joyce. The outgoing committee were hostesses at afternoon tea. v
