Amateur Association Meets.

Teh first meeting- of the re-consti-tuted body controlling amateur billiards in Canterbury—the Canterbury Amateur Billiards Association—was held in the R.S.A. rooms last evening. Those present were:: Messrs C. O’Donnell (chairman), A. Albertson, Wilkinson, Duff, S. Ardagh, Newton, A. Wentworth and J. Black.

The following were elected officers for the ensuing term:—President, Mr S. Ardagh; vice-president, Mr A. Wentworth; secretary-treasurer, Mr J. Black; trustees. Messrs Ardagh and Black. Mr C. O’Donnell was elected an honorary life member after eleven years’ service as president. It was decided that in the inter-club tourney three would constitute a team, and that all games should be 200 up. The entrance fee was fixed at £1 Is for the first team and 10s 6d for any further teams. Nominations will close t°r the inter-club tourney on April 19. It was agreed to hold .a snooker tournament at the conclusion of the inter-club fixture, and also to run the Canterbury amateur championships at the same time.
