Dalton, a quaker chemist, who first discovered colour-blindness in himself in 1792, had only three normal colour sensations instead of six. A flower which he was told was pink looked blue to his eyes, and in candle-light reddish. When he cut his chin he saw bottle-green blood flowing from the wound!
