OUTBOARD RACING.
Two Cup Races Held on Saturday. Texas Imp (H. R. Burrell) won th* Simpson Cun. and Riki (T. Kellaway) won the Priddis Cup, at the Canterbury Outboard Motor Float Club’s meeting at Redcliffs on Saturday. Seven boats competed under good conditions, ing racing. Boats and their pilots were: —Florence (E. Pye). Big Chief (C. K. Taylor. Texas Imp (H. B. Burrell), Riki (T. Kellaway). Whoopee (C. Collins), A tala nta (S. Dailing), Spirit-of-Fun (T. dilute). Both events were decided in two heats ami a final of four laps each, the first two boats in each heat starting in the final. Results:— SIMPSON CUP—First heat: Texas Imp (Tmin) 1. Ataianta (lOsec) 2. Second heat: Texas King (40sec) 1, Ataianta (4sec) 2. Final: Texas Imp (38 sec) 1. Ataianta (scr) 2. PRIDDIS CUP—First heat: Spirit-of-Fun (4sec) 1, Riki (Bsec) 2. Second heat: Big Chief (Bsec) 1, Florence (6sec) 2. Final: Riki (14sec) 1, Spirit-of-Fun (scr) 2. Florence’s engine failed, causing her to pull up. when rounding a buoy, and Spirit-of-Fun was checked as a result.
