Bidding was fairly free at the first call of the week, and six sales were recorded before backers left the room. Values generally showed little alteration from the week-end quotations. In the banking section. Unions were in good demand, and buyers moved up to £lO 2s. Colonial Sugars were steady with buyers at £63. and holders asking 15s more. Farmers’ Trading Company shares were the subject of keen inquiry, with offers to buy ordinarv shares at 4s 10d, but sellers asked 5s 6d.
