AVON PAIR WIN.
Concluding Event at Rowing Regatta. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM. February 19. The New Zealand rowing championship pairs were rowed at 7.45 o'clock this morning in a flat calm Avon (C. A. Stiles and F. H. Thompson) won the event by a length. Wairau were second and Star third. The time was 9min 41 2-ssec. There were three starters onl-- as Waitemata returned home yesterday and Picton were scratched. (A report of Saturday’s events appears ca Page 11.)
