LONDON PBODUCB MARKETS. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office as at the close of business this weekFrozen meat: The market is short of supplies of wether and ewe mutton, and prices are nominal. There is a moderate demand for lambs, with prices a little lower. Trade generally is slow. Quotations: Wethers, light, s|d to 6d per lb; wethers, heavy, 4id to sgd; ewes, ‘Md to 4|; lambs, 2’s. Gfd to 7d; lambs, B’s, 6id to 7d; lambs, 4’s, 6|d to 7d; lambs, seconds, 6id to 6|d. Golden Sawn Gold Xines, Ltd. The mine manager of Golden Dawn Gold Mines, Ltd., reports as follows for the two weeks ended February 10: No. 4 Level—Drive north on No. 1 reef extended 4ft 6in, total 150 ft 6in; reef averaging lOin wide, value still low. Drive south on No. 3 reef from 30ft up rise has been driven 28ft, total 4 oft.; reef averaging lSin wide, ore of fair value. Drive north on No. 3 reef from 30ft up rise has been driven 18ft. total 28ft; reef averaging 18in wide, ore of very fair value. No. 3 Level—Drive north on east wall branch on No. 1 reef from north winze driven 23ft, total 61ft; reef averaging 12in wide, ore of very good value. Crosscut west from 50ft up in south end of north stopes on No. 3 reef has been driven 26ft, total 26ft. At 20ft in a reef 2ft 6in wide was cut and of very good value. This looks to be the same reef as cut in the crosscut east off No. 1 reef at the intermediate level; also carrying very good values. No. 2 Level—Rise on No. 1 reef from stopes in north block extended 2ft, total 23ft, or 40ft from Maria level: reef averaging I2in wide, but is split up into small stringers; ore at present poor. Stoping—No. 3 level: On No. 1 reef in one block, with machines working three shifts, reef averages I2in wide in ore of good value. On No. 3 reef In two blocks, with machine and hand steel, reef averaging 15in wide in ore of good value. On Magazine reef in one block, reef averaging 3 oin wide in ore of good value. Intermediate level: A leading stope is being carried along over the drive north and south of crosscut east on new east wall reef. The reef here averages 2ft wide in ore of very good value. Poultry Salas. H. C. Smith, of The City Market, reports large entries at Wednesday's and Friday’s weekly auction sales. Prices advanced on previous week's prices and the quality was much better. Yearling hens, pullets and cockerels made very satisfactory prices; ducks were dull of sale, also geese. Prices were as follows:—Yearling hens 4a to 6s, heavy hens to 6s, light hens Is 9d to 3s 3d, cockerels to 7s, ducks to 4s 3d. geese 4s, pullets 3s 3d to 6s 9d, cage birds 2s 6d to 6s.
