Soviet May try to Secure Liberty for Prisoners. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received February 17, 11 a.m.) BERLIN, February 16. It is understood that the Soviet Consul will shortly demand the release of Dimitrotf and his companions on the ground that they are Soviet citizens, illegally detained after their acquittal. Dimitroff, Popoff and Tanem, three Bulgars, were acquitted at the Reichstag fire trial, but have been held ever since in “ preventive custody.” They were this week granted Soviet citizenship.
