Radway Picnic.
Dear Sir,—l read with amusement the letter of *' Not Clannish,” who wants to go to the railway picnic. Why does he wish to pay 3s for a double ticket when for half that price two can go for a picnic elsewhere in these times, when every shilling spent has to be considered, permanent position or not? I am given to understand that most business firms give their employee some discount, so why should not a railway employee have some little concession, even if it is only a free pass once a year?—l am, etc., BE REASONABLE.
