CHILDREN’S COURT.
Already under the supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for a period of three years, a small boy who admitted stealing a watch, valued at 7s 6d, on January 23, was admonished and discharged when he appeared in the Children’s Court this morning before Mr H. A. Young, S.M., who had with him on the Bench Mrs T. Green, J.P., and Mr W. M. West, J.P. Senior-Sergeant Fox said 'hat on the evening of January 23, the owner of the watch, a boy aged fourteen, left it in his coat hanging in a pavilion. When he returned the watch was missing, but the chain had been left behind. The boy had been in trouble before, and was already under supervision. The boy’s mother stated that she had had no trouble with him at home. He had told her that he had found the watch, and she believed him, owing to the fact that it was full of dirt at the back.
