COTTON NEGOTIATIONS.

British Official Wireless. RUGBY, February 15. A statement issued last night reported that at the afternoon session of the conversations between representatives of the British and the Japanese cotton and artificial silk industries on markets and competition, the first question which emerged was the problem of the area to be covered in any possible agreement. Close examination showed that in this single respect many important considerations arose. The matter was thoroughly debated and will be further considered by both parties before the resumption of the discussions on Wednesday. The British delegates promised to furnish a communication on the subject to be deliverel to Mr Okada, leader of the Japanese delegation, at a meeting with the leader of the British delegation.
