Reeve Beats Luttrell in Fast Bout. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., February 16. Harold Reeve, conceding 171 b, defeated Val Luttrell (Hastings) in a tenround light heavy-weight professional boxing match at Pahiatua to-night. It was one of the best ever staged in the district. Luttrell was aggressive in the first round, obviously looking for a knock-out. Reeve weathered the storm, and after out-boxing and out-fighting Luttrell in the third round, the issue was never in doubt, Reeve winning nearly every other round, continually beating Luttrell to the punch. Reeve was given an ovation at the finish of a thrilling bout.
