THE INCENSE PLANT.

SCENTED AND ELEGANT. Humea elegans, also called the incense plant, has peculiarly sweet-scented foliage and elegant heads of brownish red or crimson flowers of exceedingly graceful and feathery drooping appearance, disposed in large, loosely branched terminal panicles. The plants grow to •° height of five or six feet. This is one of the best plants, for the flowers when cut last and keep true colour for twelve inonths and up to two years. For ornamental vases they are specially valuable for winter decoration. Seed should be sown now in pots or pans, and the seedlings transplanted when large enough.
