CROSSING SMASH.
Driver of Motor-truck Killed. CRASHED INTO BY EXPRESS. ' Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., February 16. Charles N. Bradley, a farmer of Woodville, lost his life to-day when a motor truck he was driving was crashed into by the express train bound for New Plymouth. The accident happened a mile past Bunnythorpe station at a level crossing with a good view both ways. The truck was struck just behind the engine, thrown into the air and then struck again and tossed fifteen yards, landing a complete wreck. Bradley was thrown clear but was dead when picked up. His skull was fractured.
