R.S.A. DEBATING CLUB.

” That the history of aviation does not justify confidence in its future success,” was the subject debated by the R.S.A. Debatimr Club, the speakers being: Messrs M’Ewen and N. Wood for the affirmative and Messrs Atkinson and Denton for the negative. Messrs Blackburn and A. De Roo supported the motion, “ That man spends too much time working.” They were opposed by Messrs Helman and Elliott. No decision was given as these contests were regarded in the nature of practice. Mr Speers, jun., gave the individual speakers some helpful advice. The popularity of Mr Speirs’s classes is shown by the increasing attendances and the keen attention paid to his lectures.
