NEW BRIGHTON W.C.T.U.
The monthly meeting of the New Brighton branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held on Thursday afternoon. The president (Mrs H. M. Hall) presided. The scientific fact was given by Mrs Moses. The treasurer’s annual showed a good credit balance. Mrs Fraser was thanked for her work and the report was adopted. Mrs J. Duncan will represent the branch at the New Zealand jubilee celebrations in Wellington in March. Arrangements were made to hold a conversazione on March 1 and the annual picnic in the grounds at the president's residence on February 22. Mrs I. A. Watkins gave a description of a recent trip to England. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker.
