INCIDENT IN CITY STREET.
Man Attacks Another With Walking Stick. The sight of one man fiercely attacking another with a walking-stick attracted more than passing interest in Regent Street just before 11 o’clock this morning. Shouting something about “ putting down money,” a middle-aged man raised his walking-stick and brought it down several times with his full weight on the shoulders and arm of another and somewhat younger man. Forced into flight, the younger one was pursued by his attacker who was nimble on his feet. He caught his victim several times and resumed the offensive before the object of the attack made his escape round the corner into Armagh Street.
