ROYAL EMPIRE SOCIETY

At the monthly meeting of the coun cil of the Royal Empire Society, held on Thursday, Mr A. E. Flower presided over a good attendance of members. A large amount of correspondence between branches and the .parent society in London was received. The Montreal branch wrote asking for samples of raw materials produced in New Zealand for permanent exhibition in their headquarters, to serve in demonstrating what the Empire produces. In this connection the society is seeking the assistance of Lincoln College and the Department of Agriculture. Further arrangements are in hand for the function to be held on Empire Day, May 24.
