Bobby Pearce Looking for an Opponent. United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. TORONTO, February' 14. R. H. Pearce, world champion, considers that there are scullers who can give him a race. He named them today in asking the Sports Committee at Toronto’s centennial year celebration whether it intends staging a championship race in which his title would be at stake. Pearce said that among the large field to draw from were Major Goodsell, Bert Barry and Jack Burns. The committee decided to leave the matter of arranging the event to the Canadian National Exhibition.
