New Brighton Club Holds Meeting* A meeting of the committee of the New Brighton Surf Club was held on Tuesday evening. The club captain, Mr C- Cauldwell, presided. The chairman reported that the patrolman had finished his duties on February 6, completing the arrangement of six weeks during the children's holidays. No assistance had been received from the public and the finances* of the club had been considerably reduced. Had funds i>ermitted the club would have liked to have kept the patrolman for another month. Tt was probable that unless support was forthcoming for next year the patrolman would not be engaged. A handsome cup has been donated to the club by Messrs A. L. Tucker and W. H-errick for a competition among intermediate members. A vote of thanks was passed to the donors and the chairman was deputed to fco'nfer with them regarding the .conditions of the competition.
