WOMAN MAGISTRATE.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, February 16. One of the first women Magistrates to be appointed in England, Mrs E. M. Eckersley, of Manchester, was a passenger by the Rangitiki, which arrived in Wellington last evening. She intends to spend a week in New Zealand before travelling on to Australia.
