Mrs W. F. Watson and Miss Mynette Watson, Bligh’s Road, are visiting the West Coast glaciers. Miss Ruth Oswald, The Jordan, Marlborough, who has been visiting Christchurch, has returned home. Mrs Arthur Rose, Manchester Street North, will leave for Wellington tomorrow night on a short visit. Mrs Dudley Jeune, Fairlie, is staying with her mother, Mrs Somerset, Christchurch. Mrs Geoffrey Curtis, Christchurch, who was the guest of Mrs R. 11. Priest, Teweka Street, Timaru, has left on a visit to Waihao Forks. The Rev F. B. Redgrave, Mrs Redgrave and Miss Dorothy Redgrave, The Vicarage, Fendalton, will leave for Great Britain by the Rangitane on April 10. Mrs H. Quane, who has been abroad for some time, arrived in Christchurch sresterday5 r esterday after spending several weeks in the North Island. She is the guest of Mrs T. G. Russell, Knowlescourt, Papanui. Mrs B. L. Blunden, Waikari, will leave on Tuesday by motor with Mrs J. Cracroft Wilson to attend the Plunket Society’s conference in Dunedin, where she will be the guest of Miss Webster, Herio.t Row. Mrs Hurst Seager and Mrs Craig, Sydney, who have been visiting their niece, Miss Helen Macmillan Brown, Cashmere Hills, left for Wellington last evening and sailed to-day for Sydney by the Wanganella. Miss Pamela Fell, Nelson, has arrived in Christchurch from Wellington and is paying a round of visits to her friends and relatives here. She is at present the guest of her aunt, Mrs BuchananMatson, Mansfield Avenue. Miss Mary. Butler and Miss Margaret Butler have returned to Wellington, after spending many years abroad. Miss Mary Butler spent mest of the time in Austria, and Miss Margaret has achieved considerable success and recognition as a sculptress. Mr and Mrs A. M. Richards returned to New Zealand this week by the Marama, after what they term an “ educational tour ” of eighteen months’ duration. The tour included visits to many countries, and most of the travelling was done on a tandem bicycle. When the weather permitted Mr and Mrs Richards camped by the wayside. While overseas Mr and Mrs Richards represented the New Zealand Student Christian Movement at regional conferences in Britain, Europe and the Far East, and they will now visit the university centres of the Dominion.
