FAREWELL PARTIES.

Miss LeCren Entertained by Friends. Many small parties have been ar. ranged for this week and next week in honour of Miss Nancye LeCren, Murray Place, who will leave Christchurch on Monday, February 26, to take up a position at the Otago Women’s Club in Dunedin. Those of her friends who have already entertained for her include Mrs Ross Lascelles, Papanui Road, and Mrs Peter Wilson, °| -^ r * s oa d, while last evening Mrs Neville LeCren arranged two tables of bridge at her home in St Andrews Terrace. Mrs C. L. Meredith-Kaye, Chapter Street, will be hostess at another party for Miss LeCren to-day, and tomorrow afternoon Mrs Gerrit van Asch, Hoon Hay Valley, will give a tennis party in heT honour. Mrs C. H. Pater. Borman’s Road, and Mrs Ronald Fisher, Chapter Street, have both arranged tennis parties, which will take place on successive afternoons next week. Plans are also being made for a cabaret party at Claridge’s next Friday evening, at which Miss Bettv Beadel and Miss LeCren will be guests of honour.
