Canterbury representatives for the New Zealand athletic championships left by the inter-island steamer last evening for Wellington. The manager of the team is Mr E. Todd. The meeting will begin to-morrow and conclude on Saturday. Canterbury’s strongest representation is in the running events, and the team generally is regarded as the best that has left the province.
