AUCKLAND BUSINESS. (Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND, February 15. Business on the Stock Exchange is keeping up well and the market generally has a healthy tone. At this morning’s call New Zealand Insurances were quoted ex div. with buyers at 57s 3d. Buyers for Pukemiro Collieries raised their olTers to 21s 6d with holders firm at 22s 6d. Colonial Sugars continued to ease slightly and a sale was made 2s 6d lower at £62 17s 6d, after which buyers dropped back to £62 15s. The mining section was active. For good quality hens, ducklings and ducks there was a good demand, but small white chicken did not meet with a ready sale, supplies of good hens and ducklings were not equal to the demand. The following prices per pair were realised:—Table chicken, light, 2s to 5s 6d; heavies, 5s 6d to 7s 6d; hens, light, 2s 6d to 3s 6d; heavies, 3s 6d to ss; ducks, old, 3s to 4s; ducklings, 4 S 6d to 6s 6d.
