Estall) ; parade of massed pipe bands: Christchurch Municipal, contest selections, "Martha” (Flotow) and “Mock Doctor” (Gounod) (conductor. Mr J. Annand); Christchurch Scottish Society Pipe (Pipe-Major J. M’Lachlan); and Christchurch Municipal Band, contest march. In the evening, the Municipal Band a concert from the Edmonds Band Rotunda, the major attraction being the playing of the hymn selection, “ Sun of my Soul,” in memory of ihe band’s late conductor, Mr F. W. Buckley, who arranged the hymn. Again the band was given an ovation j for its test selections.
