LARWOOD WILL BOWL LEG-THEORY. Is Bradman Vulnerable? “SUNDAY TIMES" DOUBTS AUSTRALIAN VERACITY. United Presn Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received February 5, 12.10 pm.) LONDON, February 4 “ The epic of the Bradman-Larwood duel will be refought in 1934,” says the “ Sunday Times.” “ The only doubt about Bradman is his vulnerability against the best and deadliest fast bowling, and Larwood bowling legtheory will necessarily prove this. “ Bradman will not make centuries by running away and slashing across .balls on the leg stump. Many think that leg-theory will lie abandoned, but it will be employed if it promises success and does not savour of undue intimidation. “ Any bowler sufficiently fast can intimidate almost any batsman when he makes a target of his legs and emphasises his intentions with a cordon of leg fieldsmen. “ The Australians would have us believe that they have suffered therebv from Larwood, but we do not accept the correctness of their version.”
