The tranz Josef Glacier is a popular holiday resort with many Christchurch people, and the latest guest list from the Glacier Hotel contains the names of many folk well known in this towti. They include Lady Nolan (Auckland), with whom were her two daughters, Mrs Harold Barker (Garden Road, Fendalton) and Miss Nolan (Auckland), the Rev and Mrs L. B. Cross (Oxford), Mr B. Saville (Hanmer Springs), Miss F. M. Knight (Tientsin, North China). Mr S. Murrell (Manapouri), Mr and Mrs R. Nicholson and their daughter Barbara (Garden Road, Fendalton), Miss M. Moreland (Papanui Road), Mrs J. R. Foster, Miss Eleanor Foster and Mr Hugh Foster (Riccarton), Missos N. Enderby and E. Nicholson (Amberley), Misses Betty Thompson and Jean Henry (Papanui), Mr and Mrs D. M. Jones (Ashburton). Mrs H. Dally (Leeston), Mrs C. W. Reid and Miss D. J. Bone (Christchurch).
