The Roosevelt Administration to-day appeared ready to apply pressure upon delinquent European war debtors, pointing out that the United States dollar devaluation has wrought at east a theoretical reduction of 41 per :ent in the amounts owed. Sentiment apparently ruled strong in both the Senate and House of Representatives avcurable to some sort of retaliatory iction and a measure denying further :redit to the nations behind in their war debts is likely to bs introduced at in early date by Senator Johnson, of California.
SENATE PASSES BILL Credits to be Denied to All Delinquent Nations. (Received February 3, 9.55 a.m.) WASHINGTON, February 2. The United States Senate to-day, vith the support of the Administraion, passed the Johnson Bill denying lew credits to all nations which are ielinquent in their war debt payments.
