MUSICAL SOCIETY MEETS.
A meeting of the committee of the Christchurch South Musical Society was held in the Somerfield School on Tuesday, Mr L. B. Crowther presiding over a good attendance.
The honorary secretary, Mr David Clarke, reported that the negotiations for the lease of the Methodist Church school-room had reached a satisfactory stage and that the membership roll was steadily increasing. After considerable discussion, the opening practice was fixed for 7.30 p.m. on February 13, in the Methodist Church school-room, opposite the Sydenham Post Office.
