CONSCIENCE MONEY.
Sums of conscience money, the result of qualms and promptings, are acknowledged in the “ Gazette.” Three amounts of £2 each and one of £1 10s have been paid to the Land and Income Tax Department; two amounts of £1 10s each and one of £1 has been sent to the Customs Department; and £1 and a solitary 3d has been forwarded to the Railway, Department.
